The Prada Plan 2 Leah's Story is Ashley Antoinette's delicious sequel to her debut novel the Prada Plan'.Part 2 opens with street-fiction's most infamous villaness Leah Richardson as she offers up a prologue that speaks to you the reader.
It starts off with a bang as Leah is about to exact the ultimate revenge on Indie & Disaya by burying their baby Skylar alive,and shoots off from there showing you the dark circumstances that led her down the road to insanity.After Skylar's disapperance and the pressures of both the kidnapping and Indie's affiliations in the streets. Leah & Indie's family begins to crumble and when betrayal strikes home and both the law & the outlaws get involved no-one is going to escape unscathed.I liked how Disaya is forced to make up an entirely new Prada Plan to come out on top & correct the chain of events that she has set in motion, it really shows her indomitable spirit & dedication to the hustle.A character is re-introduced as( AA ties the Prada Plan in with another of her books Supreme _Clientele)in a way that I could only describe as genius.In the end of the book Leah reaps the reward of her bad karma and as always their are no clear -cut or fairytale endingds.The Prada Plan 2 does not disappoint,and I highly recommend you read this book I loved how it takes you back into Leah's past & forward into Disaya's uncertain future,without leaving you confused and the action is realistic the characters three dimensional & the writing top notch.
Ashley's wordplay touches your every emotion & you really are immersed into her world of deception,drugs,sex,revenge.5 Star Read Mrs Coleman as I said before a New Street Classic.

It was OKAY but....

I like many of you was highly anticipating reading this sequel, and it was a good read however I felt like the author missed the mark on a few things. One thing in particular would have to be the ending, I think that she was so focused on creating a twist that she forgot some of the character details. I also felt like YaYa was not as strong as she should have been, based on how she was described in book one I was definitely shocked at her naivete. Also, I hope the author do not take forever to make a part 3 which I suspect is coming, if not then it makes the ending stupid.

Unrealistic

Okay, let me first start by saying I haven't written a review in a while but I just had to voice my thoughts on this one. Like some of the other reviews this sequel was not what I expected. YaYa was so lame and naive in this book which was a huge contridiction to her character in part one. Many of the events in this one were a bit "far-fetched" and just down right "unbelievable." Indie's murder rampage, killing numerous indivuals who had absolutely nothing to do with baby Skylar's kidnapping pissed me off from jump. For Indie the be the "King" the "HNIC" in Houston his actions were downright stupid, not at all thought out and extremely unproductive. I was amazed at the fact that he nor YaYa ever stopped to take the time to have a conversation about "who" would've taken Skylar and "why?" Why would you just start killing people without a clue as to why someone would want to take her. The kidnapping of a child is an extremely "emotional" act thus pointing to a woman. How often do you hear about a man kidnapping a child without rhyme or reason. If Minnie had ordered Skylar to be taken he would have made it known what he wanted from Indie in return for the baby (a trade off so he could avenge the death of one of his soldiers). It's an unspoken rule of the "GAME" that hustlers do not bring harm to children or another hustler's family unless it was an act of deep, personal revenge. YaYa was portrayed as weak and really rather stupid at times but there were two things that stuck with me; First was her escape from the hospital where she goes to Khi-P for help. At this point in the book she's lost everything. She has no home, no car, nothing to call her own and instead of calling Elaine or going to Chase she turns to Khi-P; Goes on a hundred thousand dollar shopping spree and still manages not to gain any financial security for herself thus leaving her dependant on Khi, a man she really doesn't know and shouldn't trust. Second was her showdown with Leah. Months of planning, weeks of stalking and organizing to the point of obsession and she shows up for "WAR" wearing $1000 red stiletto heels (WTF)and why was it necessary to put the price of the shoes in the story? She still got her ass beat in those $1000 shoes. When she finally has Leah just where she wants her she starts BS'ing around and lets Leah gain control of the situation. At this point I was so through with this book but kept reading because I just knew we'd get some kind of reasonable conclusion, NOPE! Another unnessary, unrealistic cliffhanger. I am really starting to tire with stories that require 3, 4 & 5 sequels to conclude. This one definately should have ended with 2. Not sure if I'll be investing my time or money into part 3.
